Dries Verhoeven
Scratching where it hurts
Works 2012 – 2015

Dries Verhoeven is a theatre maker and visual artist.

He makes installations, performances and happenings in museums, on location and in public spaces. In doing so, he sharpens the relationships between spectators, performers and everyday reality to encourage the viewer to reflect on the social reality we live in. At the Verbeke Foundation his work Homo Desperatus can be seen permanently.

This photo book shows the work of the period 2012-2015.

Robbert van Heuven interviews Dries Verhoeven.
Igor Dobricic, dramatist and art consultant (artistic advisor), and Rainer Hofmann, artistic director Spring Performing Arts Festival Utrecht both wrote a text for the book.
