Jan Kersschot, Bodyscapes

20,00

Kersschot photographs fragments of the human body in closeup, and gently leads the viewer into a world we know – yet don’t know. It can be a fascinating experience to discover how different the human body looks when you look through the lens of his camera. Recurring themes are creativity, individuality, unification, pain and desire. They are images in which the gaze can meander endlessly, and discover underlying layers over and over again. A book about the three series (handscapes, skinscapes, eyescapes) was published in December 2015 in collaboration with Verbeke Foundation.
